On Holy Saturday, we had an egg hunt at our house. It was one of those things where I said to JC, “Hey, wouldn’t this be fun?” and he ran with it. I should have known he would—he loves games of all sorts.
We had seven kids here (plus their parents), and JC hid 211 eggs all over the pasture and the yard. None in the woods this year—still too many briers for that to be fun. I wanted to have the kids hunt eggs after a potluck lunch, but their eagerness pushed lunch back.
The kids had a great time running all over and peering into the many hideyholes and crevices our grounds offer in abundance.
JC wants to do this again next year…with double the eggs! Goodness.
